UFO spotted flying over Seoul

AsiaOne
Thursday, Apr 12, 2012
A video filmed by a passenger flying over Seoul in South Korea on Saturday shows an unidentified flying object (UFO) soaring over the capital.

The mysterious white object floated into view and when the passenger zoomed into to get a better look, the spherical object appeared to instantly rise in altitude and disappeared.

The video was uploaded on YouTube by Crazybreakingnews who said: "It looks a little bit strange and not really similar to the other videos.

"If it's really real and not a fake, it looks like a kind of military drone."

Sceptics have also commented on the video, saying that it could be fake.

YouTube user Pseud0Name wrote: "When stabilised, it is eay to see what is going on with the video.

"The edges of the UFO are not blurred like all of the other background objects, it seems like a separate effect from the background, and in fact you can see edge noise on the shape of the UFO indicating it's a fake.

"It doesn't even look right if you start to look at it hard, especially slowed down frame by frame."

Another viewer, vicariousjojoe, said: "People, you should know by now what is fake and what's not. You can always tell by the way the camera moves and zooms."

Meanwhile, Digital Journal reported that a magnified view of the UFO appears to support the assumption that the video is computer-generated imagery.

Earthquake cloud, Chinese photographer catch prediction 2 days before earthquake occurred

Tianshui city, Gansu province.
An Chinese photographer took this picture 2 hrs b4 12th May China earthquake.

May, 09,2008, 2 days b4 this chinese deadly earthquake, somebody took those photo in Linyi, Shandong province, east China, which you can see lot “line-shaped” cloud, and somebody spot it is Earthquake Cloud and predicted a 6+ earthquake will happen within 2 days, but they dont know where. Of course, nobody believe them that time. Then, 12, May, a 7.8 earthquake occurred in Wenchuan, Sichuan province, west China.

"Earthquake cloud" an omen for Japan earthquake?

Mr Goldman was in Tokyo, Japan when the 8.9 magnitude earthquake and tsunami hit on Friday, March 11.

Mr Goldman tells AsiaOne of his near-death account accompanied with photographs he managed to take.

He also took photos of what he says is an "earthquake cloud". He claims that it served as an omen for the natural disaster that hit Japan. He took the photos five days before the earthquake struck.

Siberia plans 'institute to study yetis'

MOSCOW - Officials in a Siberian region on Wednesday announced plans to open a scientific institute for researchers to study yetis, despite opposition from academics.

"Organising an institute or a scientific centre would be a logical continuation of research into the yeti," the administration of the Russian coal-mining region of Kemerovo in western Siberia said.

The region will announce its final decision after hosting an international conference on yetis later this year, the statement said, citing the regional government's education and science department.

"The town of Tashtagol will host an international conference with leading experts into hominids. Based on its results, we will take a decision on opening a scientific research institute to study the yeti."

Yetis, or Abominable Snowmen, are hairy ape-like creatures of popular myth, that are generally held to inhabit the Himalayas.

But some believe Russia also holds a population of yetis, which it calls Snow Men, in remote areas of Siberia such as the mountains in the southern part of Kemerovo around Tashtagol.

Kemerovo officials cited yeti researcher Igor Burtsev as saying that around 30 Russian scientists are studying yetis and could work together at the planned institute.

"We think that the yeti is a separate branch of human evolution. It lives in harmony with nature," Burtsev was quoted as saying.

Burtsev earlier told the ITAR-TASS news agency that the institute was planned to open as part of the region's state university.

The university swiftly denied the claim in a statement, saying that "studying yetis is not among the research interests of the scientific teams at Kemerovo State University".

The Kemerovo region has used its reputation for sightings of yetis to promote tourism. It holds an annual Yeti Day and this year it will run an ice sculpture competition called "In the World of the Yeti".

No, super moon didn't cause any disasters

KUALA LUMPUR: Contrary to popular belief, the "super moon" phenomenon does not cause earthquakes, typhoons, tsunamis and other natural disasters.

Neither does it cause purple unicorns to trailblaze across the sky.

The super moon, or the perigee moon, is a phenomenon when the moon's orbit is closest to the Earth. It occurred last night, with the moon coming nearest to Earth in the past 18 years, giving it the appearance that it had grown in size.

An article on the United States' National Aeronautics and Space Administration website explained that full moons vary in size because of the elliptical shape of the moon's orbit.

One side (the perigee) is about 50,000km closer to Earth than the other (the apogee), resulting in a full moon that is about 14 per cent bigger and 30 per cent brighter than "lesser" moons that occur on the apogee side of the moon's orbit.

Universiti Sains Malaysia Astronomy and Atmospheric Science Research Unit lecturer and astronomy club adviser Associate Professor Dr Chong Hon Yew said last night was particularly significant because the alignment of the moon, the Earth, the Sun and all the other planets formed roughly a straight line at a 50º angle.

Chong said if you imagined the Earth as a dot on a piece of paper, the moon was to its left and further to the left was Saturn while on the right side of the Earth was the Sun and further lined up towards the right were the other planets: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune.

"This is called a 'planetary alignment'. It is an odd occurrence but it does not result in disasters as predicted by doomsayers," said Chong.

However, the planetary alignment would not be visible because they would be in the daytime sky with the exception of Saturn, located in the nighttime sky.

He explained that the tides yesterday were a bit higher than usual because of the closer proximity of the moon (resulting in a stronger gravitational pull).

"The only significant effect it had was on the psychology of humans."

2012, Earth Has Two Sun?

Recently, it has been circulating the news if by 2012, said the Earth will have two sun? It seems scandalous Internet users including the media who reported the shocking news. They reported that a star called Betelgeuse will experience a supernova explosion in the next year or rather in 2012, where it coincides with speculation about the apocalypse will happen in that year. Giant stars that have a size 10 to 20 times the sun will explode and it reportedly will make the Earth glow illuminated by two bright as the sun.

Regarding this, some scientists clarify the statement. They say that it is nonsense. “Betelgeuse soon lose mass and become a supernova. However, the ‘immediate’ in astronomical time scale means that one million years from now, “said University of Illinois astronomer Jim Kaler. No one quite knows Betelgeuse. If the star did not explode, then the star will form the constellation Orion’s right shoulder and will not be a second sun in the sky Earth.

“Supernova would like a crescent moon bright and clearly visible during the day. It would appear the shadows, may make people scared but not as bright as the sun, “Kaler said that the focus on the study of dead star since the 1950′s it. He felt there was no reason to fear the explosion of a star.

When the star becomes a supernova, the explosion of a large amount of matter and radiation spread in space. If such events occur within 30 light years from Earth, this explosion will significantly damage Earth’s ozone layer and cause mass extinctions.

A light year is the distance light travel in one year, about 10 trillion kilometers. Some supernovae produce gamma-ray burst radiation is strong and dangerous. Betelgeuse is 600 light years away and too far away to threaten Earth. Betelgeuse explosion itself portrayed scientists as a Core-Collapse Supernovae Type II. Kaler ensure these stars do not produce gamma-ray burst.

3 giant spaceships will attack Earth in 2012: researchers

A report by the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) in the United States said that there are three giant spaceships which are heading towards Earth.

According to the Russian Pravda news, the SETI, a non-commercial organization said that the largest one of the three spaceships is 240 kilometers wide, and the two others are smaller.

It further stated that currently, the objects are beyond the orbit of Pluto and will reach Earth in December 2012.

The report claims that the spaceships were detected by the HAARP search system, based in Alaska, which is designed to study the phenomenon of northern lights.

According to the SETI researchers the objects are nothing but extraterrestrial spaceships, and will be visible in optical telescopes as soon as they reach Mars' orbit, reported the Pravda news.

UFO closes China airport

Video Link:
http://multimedia.asiaone.com/Multimedia/News/Story/A1Multimedia20101007-11071.html

A MAJOR airport was forced to shut down to prevent packed passenger jets crashing into a UFO.

The "flat and tubular" object hovered two miles from Inner Mongolia, a part of China.

Astonished officials say it then zoomed in to circle the airport before suddenly vanishing.

Three flights from Chinese cities Beijing and Shanghai were diverted to nearby airports.

It is the THIRD mysterious UFO sighting this year to have resulted in Chinese airfields being closed.

Xiaoshan, in Zhejiang province, shut for a few days in July after an "oddly-shaped, twinkling bright light" was seen nearby. Another scare was reported earlier in the summer at Hong Kong.

The latest UFO was spotted by air traffic controllers in Inner Mongolia's capital Hoot on radar screens. But they could not make radio contact with it and immediately warned Bootee.

A spokeswoman said: "To guarantee security, aircraft had to land at secondary airports. Otherwise, it may have led to collision."

The airport was closed for around an hour last month.

The Chinese authorities have refused to comment but some experts believe the three sightings could be evidence of a new Chinese military aircraft.

Nick Pope, a former Ministry of Defence UFO investigator, said: "Whatever you think about UFOs there are serious national security and air safety issues involved."
